Feel renewed with a “wellness day:” The Emerson Resort & Spa
Q. What’s the value of taking a “wellness day” or short retreat?
A. You don’t need a week-long vacation to feel renewed. A single day focused on wellness — free from emails, errands, and expectations — can create space for clarity, healing, and rest. Whether it’s through a massage, time in nature, or a digital detox, short retreats offer the chance to reset and return to daily life with more energy and intention.

Moving into spring and summer looking and feeling your best: Oasis Day Spa
MASSAGE
Q. In the spring and summer months I am much more physically active with outdoor actives, biking, hiking, yard work, etc. Which massage would be better for me — Deep Tissue or Sports Massage?
A. Even though they are both good for working out the knots, if you are more physically active with outdoor sports and activities to get a Sports massage, this massage incorporates stretching along with the massage to lengthen musical tissue and work out knots. At Oasis, you can add Deep Tissue pressure to your Sports massage, or go for extra relaxation and pain relief by upgrading to add CBD massage oil.
SKINCARE
Q. How do I protect my skin during this change of season?
A. As you head out for some fresh spring air, you want to strengthen and protect your skin against environmental aggressors, such as allergens, pollution, and UV rays. Our Antioxidant Facial incorporates vitamin C, peptides, and a smoothing exfoliating treatment to brighten skin and boost its natural defenses.
HYDRO
Q. How do I deal with winter dry skin?
A. Exfoliation of your body and face is crucial for maintaining healthy skin to help remove dead skin and promote regeneration of the new skin. Our Body Scrubs, whether Brown Sugar or Lavender Sea Salt, will exfoliate, draw out impurities, and improve circulation. The Body Scrubs end with an invigorating Vichy shower that leaves the skin glowing.

Uncovering safe oral health improvement services: ProHEALTH Dental
Q. How do I know if I am a candidate for professional teeth whitening?
A. Teeth Whitening is a popular cosmetic dental treatment that promises to enhance your smile’s appearance while providing an instant confidence booster. To determine if you’re a candidate for professional teeth whitening, it’s best to schedule a consultation with your dentist to uncover the safest option that meets your needs and expectations.
While there are several teeth whitening options on the market, in-office teeth whitening is one of the most effective methods available. Dental professionals perform these treatments using high concentration bleaching agents and advanced technology to achieve significant results in a single visit. The benefits of in-office whitening include immediate and noticeable results, with some patients achieving teeth that are several shades lighter in just one hour. This method is ideal for those seeking quick and dramatic improvements.
Someone may not be a candidate for teeth whitening if they have certain dental conditions, such as untreated cavities, gum disease, or overly sensitive teeth. It’s important to have a dentist assess the individual’s oral health to determine if teeth whitening is safe and effective for them.

Offering personalized, accessible healthcare with affordable pricing: WestDocs Concierge
Q. What should I do when I need to see a doctor but wait times for an appointment take weeks and months?
A. In an era where healthcare wait times are long and emergency rooms are overcrowded, a new concierge medical practice in Mount Kisco, WestDocs Concierge is offering a refreshing alternative for patients seeking timely and personalized care. This practice provides greater accessibility, allowing patients to consult with their doctor directly at the office or through their cellphone outside regular hours. Routine communications are also handled through an easy-to-use online portal, ensuring that patients stay connected with their provider. WestDocs Concierge guarantees prompt appointments, offering same-day or next-day visits for emergencies, which can prevent the need for costly, time-consuming urgent care or ER visits. This model saves patients from not only excessive wait times but also from the potential need for additional follow-up appointments — issues that could often be resolved in a single visit to a dedicated PCP. One of the key advantages of this concierge service is its commitment to personalized care. Patients consistently see the same doctor, building a deeper, more trusting relationship with their healthcare provider. This continuity allows the doctor to better understand the patient’s needs, medical history, and lifestyle, resulting in more tailored and effective treatment. WestDocs concierge also offers help with specialist appointments, coordinates care across providers, and provided guidance for complex therapies, addressing both medical and financial concerns.

Keeping your camper happy and healthy: White Plains Hospital
Q. My child is going to day camp this summer. When is the ideal time to do a camp physical?
A. Kids should have an annual check-up starting at age 2 (younger kids will be seen more frequently). At this check-up, your doctor will review your child’s vaccines, screen for health conditions, and manage any chronic diseases. If your child is overdue for a check-up, it is important to schedule the visit at least two weeks prior to the start of camp. This gives the vaccines enough time to produce disease-fighting antibodies. If your child will be attending sleepaway camp, it is also important to note that while routine vaccination for bacterial meningitis is usually started at age 11, cramped quarters increase the risk for this disease. For this reason, many doctors will recommend an extra dose of the meningococcal vaccine for your camper prior to age 11.
Q. What should I do if my child takes medication or has allergies?
A. If your child takes daily or as-needed medication (an EpiPen for allergies or inhalers for asthma), make sure that the camp is informed of the dosage, administration instructions, and potential side effects. Your child’s pediatrician can complete the necessary forms. Also, be sure to provide the camp with enough medication for the program’s duration.
Q. How can I protect my child from excess sun exposure and insect-related illnesses at camp?
A. Sunscreen should be applied to your child every morning whether the weather is cloudy or sunny, and should be reapplied every two hours for the duration of outdoor time. Separate insect repellent should be applied once per day. If your child is at-risk for anaphylaxis from bites or stings, make sure the camp staff has their medication(s). Many parents worry about tick bites. Check your child daily for the pesky critters and remove with tweezers if you find one. The good news is that ticks must be attached for at least 36 hours to transmit Lyme disease. If the tick was likely attached longer or if timing is unclear, call your child’s doctor, as preventative antibiotics may be indicated.
