Understanding the benefits of Invisalign aligners: The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry

Q. Why should I consider orthodontic treatment with Invisalign and how do I determine if it’s the right treatment for me?

A. Crowded, uneven, and misaligned teeth can cause discomfort, even self-esteem issues as well as functional concerns. Invisalign offers the convenience of removable aligners that are clear. Another benefit might a shorter treatment than with traditional metal braces. We offer free consultations for Invisalign. During this appointment with Dr. Rioseco, if you decide to proceed, we can take your records during that first consultation and get you started immediately. Our office staff can also find out from your insurance if you have coverage for orthodontics., although you can contact your insurance company or your HR department directly. Many companies do have some benefits you can use towards Invisalign treatment.

Revitalizing your body after the holidays: The Khader Center

Q. What is the safest, healthiest, quickest, and most fun way to detox?

A. The festive holiday season often leads to overindulgence in rich foods, sweets, and alcohol, which can leave you feeling sluggish and unwell. Here are steps you can take to rejuvenate your body in the safest, healthiest, quickest, and most enjoyable way:

Liver Mud Pack: A post-holiday must after holiday feasts, your liver could use some TLC. A Liver mud pack at The Khader Center in Mount Kisco, NY, is an excellent way to detoxify and rejuvenate your liver. This treatment not only helps in detoxifying but also supports your liver in processing the excess fats, sugars, and alcohol you might have consumed.

Boost Your Immune System: The holiday season also coincides with peak times for catching colds and flu. An Immune mud pack can fortify your body’s defenses, helping you stay healthy when others around you are falling ill.

Weight Loss Benefits: Mud packing is not just about detox; it can also aid in weight loss. By stimulating your metabolism and promoting the elimination of toxins, mud packs can help shed those extra holiday pounds more effectively.

Why Choose Mud Packs?

  • Safe: Mud packs are a natural, non-invasive way to detoxify your body.
  • Healthy: They promote overall wellness by supporting organ function and boosting immunity.
  • Quick: Experience immediate benefits with just one session, although multiple sessions can further enhance results.
  • Fun: The process itself can be quite relaxing and enjoyable, offering a spa-like experience.

Book your session today! Don’t let the holiday aftermath bring you down. Visit The Khader Center for a mud pack session that will leave you feeling refreshed, revitalized, and ready to tackle the new year with vigor. Remember, your health is your wealth and there’s no better time than now to invest in it!

Taking a proactive approach in the new year: White Plains Hospital

Q. Every year, my New Year’s resolution is to be healthier. How can I stick to it this year?

A. Many people set health-related New Year’s resolutions, but quit within a few weeks. The keys to lasting success are starting small and setting realistic goals.

First, set a target date that isn’t so far in the future that you forget about it, such as the end of 2025, but a reasonable time frame to build new, healthier habits. For example, many people who quit smoking suddenly will inevitably backslide. Instead, try implementing a plan whereby you have completely ceased smoking eight weeks from now. Start by declaring you no longer can have a cigarette with your morning coffee. Then remove cigarettes from your day over time.

For support, you might team up with a friend with a similar health goal, or write yourself notes of inspiration on sticky notes you’ll see throughout the day to remind yourself why you are making this change.

Q. I haven’t exercised in years. What’s the best way to get started?

A. Start small by walking an extra 10 minutes on your way to or from work, or around your neighborhood. Doing this regularly seven days a week will build up your stamina and once you’re no longer feeling challenged by 10 minutes, you can start to increase it by 5- or 10-minute intervals.

Consulting with your healthcare provider when starting a new exercise plan is always a good idea. In addition to providing personalized guidance, your provider can also help keep you accountable for your progress, which many patients find helps keep them motivated, or refer you to other specialists who can help with individual goals.

With any lifestyle change, the most important thing to remember is if and when you make a mistake, don’t sweat it. Just get back to your routine the next day and stay with it, until it truly is a routine.
