The Face of Preservation and Sustainability

The Jay Heritage Center is transforming the historic Jay Estate into a vibrant educational campus for scholars and nature lovers of all ages. Imagine a 23-acre classroom with exceptional cultural offerings about American history, social justice, architecture, and environmental stewardship! In 2022, a leadership gift to rehabilitate an expansive carriage house set the stage for the future Wachenheim Exhibit and Performance Center. Meanwhile, the park’s revitalized gardens won a New York State Parks Outstanding Achievement in Historic Preservation Award, the only one in Westchester. Future projects include the creation of both preservation and horticultural study centers at the Jay Mansion.
