When it comes to finding first-rate schools and support services, Westchester’s A+ education resources will help you make the smart move.

Private Schools

The Chapel School

172 White Plains Rd; Bronxville
The Chapel School has served wonderfully diverse families in Lower Westchester and New York City since 1947. It provides Preschool two-year-olds through 8th graders with approximately challenging academics, advances in science and technology, and amazing music, social emotional literacy, and service learning programs in a safe, nurturing Christian environment. The Chapel School’s commitment to maintaining small class sizes ensures that students receive individualized attention as they develop from today’s learners into tomorrow’s leaders.

German International School

50 Partridge Rd; White Plains
GISNY is an independent, Pre-K through Grade 12 college preparatory school. Its English-German bilingual curriculum and rigorous academic instruction with an emphasis on science and arts cultivate students who become socially and environmentally aware global citizens. It is the only school in the tri-state area where graduates earn the New York State High School Diploma and the German International Abitur (DIA). No German is required for children entering Pre-K or Kindergarten. All nationalities are welcome.

The Harvey School

260 Jay St; Katonah
Harvey is a dynamic coeducational college preparatory school for students in grades 6 to 12 that features an international program, five-day boarding, and an award-winning robotics curriculum.  With an average class size of 10, teachers know their students well and are able to provide support while challenging them to reach their potential. Small classes also mean each student has a voice. Harvey offers Honors and AP classes, as well as an array of co-curricular options in the arts, athletics, and community service.

Hudson Country Montessori School

340 Quaker Ridge Rd; New Rochelle
The Hudson Country Montessori School is a private school serving toddlers (18 months) through 8th grade. Children are guided through the Montessori curriculum at their own pace under the supervision of certified Montessori teachers. Self-correcting manipulatives differentiate instruction and achieve specific objectives. The environment fosters concentration, self-reliance, and freedom of movement so children can work individually or cooperatively while pursuing a solid academic foundation. Extended day programs (7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) are available.

Iona Prepatory Lower School

173 Stratton Rd, New Rochelle

Iona Preparatory Lower School will host two information sessions for prospective students entering pre-kindergarten through seventh grade on Thursday, February 7, at 9 am and 7 pm. Westchester County’s only all-boys, K-12 Catholic school offers small class sizes that allow faculty to cater to the needs and interests of boys and actively engage them in learning. Information sessions are a great opportunity for prospective students and families to meet faculty, get questions answered, and tour the Lower School’s new ‘makerspace’ and technology upgrades in the Devlin Library & Center for Excellence.

Kennedy Catholic High School

54 NY-138, Somers
