Nestled in the heart of Westchester County, Croton Children and Family Counseling is rapidly emerging as an essential resource for parents seeking therapeutic support for their children. Whether children are struggling with social anxiety, academic stress, peer pressure, or family discord, their dedicated team helps children and families navigate the path forward.
Croton Children and Family Counseling was founded by Greg Perlman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience working with children and families. Mr. Perlman recognized the lack of therapeutic services for children in the Westchester community despite the growing need.

“Unfortunately, there is still a stigma in our society when it comes to mental health,” said Mr. Perlman. “Many children are struggling, and parents are often overwhelmed, not knowing where to turn. Westchester lacked specialized support for children, and Croton Children and Family Counseling is filling that void. We are a place where people can feel comfortable and cared for in a welcoming, safe environment. Our practice is small, so we have the ability to provide a more personalized approach to treatment for our families.”
Croton Children and Family Counseling opened its doors to the community in April 2024 and has demonstrated its steadfast commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care to children and families, addressing the challenges and stresses of everyday life.

Personalized Therapeutic Care
Croton Children and Family Counseling supports children aged 5 through adulthood with the goal of building meaningful connections to foster lasting positive change. The practice provides a range of therapeutic services, including Client-Centered Child Therapy and Strengths-Based Therapy. In providing care, Mr. Perlman draws on his extensive experience working with children and families in various settings, including foster care, addiction treatment, community clinics, and private practices.

Experienced Therapeutic Team
The therapeutic team at Croton Children and Family Counseling shares more than two decades of professional experience. Dedicated staff includes Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP). Mr. Perlman works collaboratively with the NP to support families who need help, a partnership that is beneficial to the patient but uncommon at many therapeutic practices. Their working relationship began several years ago and led them to decide to work together to help families in need in Westchester.

By offering a comprehensive range of therapeutic services and prioritizing each patient’s growth and emotional health, Croton Children and Family Counseling is helping Westchester families overcome challenges and develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed for the future. Croton Children and Family Counseling offers flexible care to meet the needs of families and their children, including in-office therapy and telehealth therapy. Croton Children and Family Counseling is now in network with several insurance companies and the team is happy to assist patients with navigating out-of-network health insurance claims.
