Her humans: Valerie (quoted here) and Stephen Glicker of ScarsdaleÂ
Also known as: Charmax’s Belle of Scarsdale—that’s her American Kennel Club (AKC) registered name—but she goes by Zoe.
Ten-second commercial: Zoe is funny, smart, and full of big personality. She loves people and other dogs, is sweet, playful and affectionate, and truly enjoys having a good time.
Best word to describe her personality: Enthusiastic.
Her cutest behavior: The lightning-fast kisses that she gives when she hasn’t seen us for a few hours—they call it the ‘Wheaten greeting.’ Not so cute: When she goes in and out of the kitchen door to the backyard all day.
Most afraid of: Ladders.
Best trick: Telling time. Every night at my kids’ bedtime, she stands up and let’s us know it’s time for her to go out and my kids to go upstairs.
Can frequently be found: On squirrel patrol in the backyard.
Sleeps at night: In bed with us.
Favorite plaything: A stuffed musical dreidel—because she loves ‘The Dreidel Song’ that it plays.
She really hates: The hair dryer—she doesn’t like anything to do with baths in general.
Naughtiest habit: Stealing slippers and trying to bury them in the backyard.
What makes her special: She is so incredibly sweet and loving and loves to have a good time playing with people or dogs.
Can be spotted: Outdoors in any weather, but she especially loves playing in snow with us.
Her special skill set: Zoe is a truly affectionate, incredibly loving, and sociable dog. She is always happy to meet and greet people, whether it be in the house or walking on the street, and she also loves to play with other dogs.
Her BFF: Pluto, a male Wheaten and poodle mix.
Her itsy bitsy downside: Because Zoe has incredible amounts of energy, she requires a ton of play and exercise.
Why a Wheaten: Zoe is amazing with kids, loves being part of the family, she’s smart, and most importantly, she doesn’t shed.
We think she is: A genius.
Most oddball behavior: Sleeps on her back with her feet sticking up in the air.
