Yonkers' Ridge Hill Shopping Center Adds More Stores

Here’s good news for Westchester shoppers: New tenants are coming to Westchester’s Ridge Hill in Yonkers, adding to the already impressive roster of stores and restaurants that occupy the mixed-use shopping center (LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Lord & Taylor, L.L. Bean, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bonefish Grill, and Texas de Brazil, to name a few). The addition of the new stores comes as Yonkers kicks off a city-wide effort to revitalize the community’s downtown area.

Here’s what you have to look forward to (no word yet on opening dates):

5 Napkin Burger, a casual bar and grill with five locations spread throughout New York City, Boston, and Miami

Wine Zetta, a wine store

Hand and Stone, a spa franchise

A to-be-named Poll Brothers restaurant (there are currently 6 Poll locations, mostly on Long Island)

That’s on top of what was already in the pipeline but hasn’t opened yet, like I-FLY, an indoor skydiving center opening in early 2015, and Banana Republic, opening in September.

“We constantly strive to cultivate the best possible combination of retail, dining, and entertainment to meet the needs and desires of our customers,” says Kathryn Welch, executive vice president of retail development at Forest City Ratner Companies, Ridge Hill’s developer. “This requires bringing together sought-after nationally recognized brands with unique local and regional merchants to ensure that our guests will have a successful and fun experience when they come to Ridge Hill.”
