Yale University Brings Learning Series To Westchester

The Yale Alumni College of Yale University has a commitment to lifelong teaching. The residents of The Osborn—a community for seniors that offers independent living, assisted living, long-term skilled nursing support, in-home services, and other programs—have a commitment to lifelong learning. It was only a matter of time before these two found a way to team up.

Starting in March, Yale at the Osborn will be offering a series of six 90-minute classes at The Osborn’s auditorium in Rye. The series kicks off on March 9 with a course titled “The Mystery of Sleep,” taught by sleep expert Dr. Meir Kryer. The class will cover topics like why we need sleep, the complexities of sleep, sleep disorders, and dreams.

You don’t have to live at The Osborn—or have an SAT score high enough to get you into Yale—to have access to these classes, either: these Yale classes are open to the public. Classes take place on Mondays from 7 to 8:30 pm, and the fee for the six-week session is $150. You can sign up at www.yaleattheosborn.org.
