Like the la-di-da guests at Will and Kate’s nuptials, Westchester women can now get the royal treatment when it comes to custom-designed headwear, thanks to Eastchester resident Barbara Whitworth, the FIT-trained milliner who two years ago launched the Whitworth collection of sun hats. Working in her home studio, Whitworth creates each by hand. The hats are made of braided ribbon or straw specially treated to ensure the highest 50-plus ultraviolet protection factor.
Prices start at $175, with a percentage donated to cancer research, education, and prevention.
