Necessity really proved to be the mother of invention when White Plains mom Nicolle Cannone had had it with the profuse drooling of her youngest child. The invention: a “biby tee” with an animal face whose partially detached floppy terry-cloth ears can be used to wipe the baby’s face (it’s good for teething, too). The first offering from Cannone’s company, jack & salma, the biby tee was a hit from the get-go on etsy.com and really gained momentum when it was endorsed last winter by Gwyneth Paltrow in her GOOP shopping newsletter. Currently offered in whimsical elephant, pig, and hippo designs and made of cotton, biby tees are available in long- and short-sleeve in size 4-12 months. Price: $36. To order: jackandsalma.com.
