Empire City Casino and St. John’s Riverside Hospital Employees Among Those Honored at Yonkers’ Annual Women of Excellence Awards

The Yonkers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee held the 26th Annual Yonkers Women of Excellence Awards Luncheon on March 27 at the Fairways at Dunwoodie in Yonkers. Among the honorees was Empire City Casino’s Ursula McIntyre (pictured above, left), who was recognized as one of this year’s Women of Excellence and received the Above and Beyond Award.  Winners also included Siobhan O’Sullivan & Patricia Brady of Francey Brady’s Restaurant, who took home the Entrepreneur Award. Additionally, St. John’s Riverside Hospital’s Donna McGregor earned the Business Professional Award, while Donna Davis received the Thomas J. Caramadre Humanitarian Award.

Surgical Review Corporation Awards Northern Westchester Hospital

Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) was recently designated a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation, a leading administrator of quality improvements and accreditation programs for surgeons and hospitals around the world. “We are proud to be among SRC’s Centers of Excellence, a designation that recognizes our unparalleled commitment and ability to consistently deliver safe, effective evidence-based care,” said Marla Koroly, MD, NWH’s Chief Medical Officer. The Institute includes highly specialized expertise with the da Vinci Surgical System to perform robot-assisted surgery, and the hospital’s Robotic Surgery Program includes a Center of Excellence for Robotic Surgery, a Training Epicenter for Colorectal Cancer Surgery, as well as expertise in single-incision gynecologic procedures.

 

New York Medical College Honors WIHD’s Jenean Castillo with Diversity and Inclusion Award

The Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD) recently announced that Jenean Castillo, PhD, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator at Westchester Institute for Human Development University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and Assistant Director of WIHD’s Child Welfare Program, has been awarded the New York Medical College Diversity and Inclusion Award.  The award was presented on March 19 at the conclusion of the NYMC/WMC Diversity and Inclusion HeLa Conference held at NYMC’s Clinical Skills and Simulation Lab in Valhalla. Castillo is an assistant professor of practice in the Center on Disability and Health in the School of Health Sciences and Practice at New York Medical College.

Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty Receives Five Star Award and Silver Award from Cartus Broker Network

Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty, which operates several offices spanning the county, was named winner of the Five Star Award and Silver Award at the 2018 Cartus Broker Network International Conference on March 19-21 in Boca Raton, Florida. The Five Star Award recognizes Cartus Broker Network members who have met or exceeded their individual objectives for outgoing broker-to-broker referral closings over the calendar year. Better Homes and Gardens also took home the Silver Award for its outstanding annual performance. Pace University Bestows Distinguished Service Award to Westchester Elder Law Attorney Anthony J. Enea

Westchester elder law attorney Anthony J. Enea of White Plains and Somers’ Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP was honored at the 23rd annual Law Leadership Awards Dinner on March 8. The event was presented by the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Enea received the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the legal community over the past thirty years by educating and protecting the rights of seniors as well as disabled individuals and their families. Enea, a Pace Law alumnus, was named Best Lawyers’ 2018 Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains and Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the Above the Bar Awards. “We are thrilled to recognize honor Anthony Enea ’85 with the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University Distinguished Service Award,” said Pace University Dean David Yassky. “Anthony is a prime example of what our students can accomplish with their Pace Law degrees. NCQA Recognizes CareMount Medical For Outstanding Care

 The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) once again awarded CareMount Medical, the largest independent multispecialty medical group in New York State, as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). PCMH is a system of care that utilizes patient-centered processes to focus on care and long-term relationship building. Area CoStar Power Broker Award Winners Named

Sokol Media Names Co-Communications’ Stacey Cohen One of the Top Women to Watch in Real Estate

Earlier this month, Sokol Media recognized Co-Communications CEO Stacey Cohen (pictured above, left) as a 2018 TOP Women to Watch In Real Estate. Cohen was among 11 women honored last week at the Top Women in Real Estate Awards Gala in New York City.  The award celebrates female leaders who have made a considerable impact in the real estate industry. The awards were presented at Club 101 in Manhattan by Lori Sokol, president of Sokol Media. Stacey was honored for her contributions in communications to the field of real estate. “I am honored to receive this recognition alongside such a diverse group of talented, influential women in real estate,” Cohen says. “This accolade is a testament to our desire to support our client’s growth and innovation.
