The local tournament schedule includes several stops at Westchester clubs including the MGA/WMGA Mixed Pinehurst at Knollwood CC on July 22, the 117th Met Amateur Championship at Hudson National GC August 1-4, the 51st Boys Championship at Bedford Golf & Tennis August 1-2, and the MGA Senior Open at Metropolis CC August 26-27. The Met Open will be held this year at Piping Rock on Long Island August 20-22.
Local courses will host a full schedule of qualifiers, too. Hollow Brook GC hosts the US Open local qualifier on May 9, Bonnie Briar is the site of US Senior Open sectional qualifier on May 21, and Century and Old Oaks will hold US Open sectional qualifying on June 3. Whippoorwill Club will stage the US Amateur sectional on July 8 and Apawamis Club will host the US Women’s Amateur Four-Ball sectional on October 8. The qualifying season wraps up at Sunningdale with the US Amateur Four-Ball sectional October 17.
For the local pros, the Westchester PGA Championship will be contested at Westchester Hills GC May 28-31, and the Met PGA Championship will be held at Sleepy Hollow September 17-19.
The Westchester Open is slated for the CC of Darien June 10-11, while the 100th WGA Amateur Championship will be played at Winged Foot GC July 9-11.
The PGA Tour will be played June 17-23 at TPC River Highlands for the Travelers Championship, while the 2019 edition of the Northern Trust, the first stage of the FedEx Cup playoffs, will be held August 5-11 at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, NJ.
