Westchester Hills Golf Club members can now play and practice year ‘round — even when there’s snow on the course or rain drowning the first tee. The latest addition to the club’s long list of member amenities is a new Golf Performance Studio and Fitness Facility located in the club house in White Plains. It’s a feature sure to be used by Westchester Hills member Mariano Rivera!
From custom club fitting and video lessons to member team matches in the simulator during winter months, the Performance Studio can be used in several ways to keep the members’ games in tune throughout the year. The Studio has all the latest video technology to provide pro and member with important feedback on swing plane, club path, distance, target deviation and more. The combination of video and guidance from one of the club pros makes for the most beneficial learning experience.
Along with the new Golf Performance Studio, members can also enjoy workouts in the newly opened Fitness Facility. Equipment includes state-of-the-art cardio machines, rowing machines, strength training equipment, free weights and benches plus plenty of room to warm up and stretch prior to a round of golf. Yoga and Zumba classes are scheduled throughout each week and TPI-certified instructors are available to provide fitness assessments and training.
The addition of the Golf Performance Studio and Fitness Facility are a continuation of the numerous upgrades to Westchester Hills over the last few years. On the golf course, all the bunkers were renovated, trees were added and others removed, the irrigation system updated and the half-way house modernized. During that same period, the clubhouse and dining room, patio and bar underwent major renovations. The locker rooms were updated and a cigar room and sauna were added.
The family-friendly pool area was renovated and enlarged while pool lockers and pool snack bars were updated. These renovations and additions have resulted in many new and younger families joining the club and adding to the fabric of the well-established core of members who have been part of the club for years.
