The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor

The Blaze is nothing short of the tri-state area’s biggest jack o’lantern destination. Running for 28 nights, this must-see-to-believe experience features over 5,000 hand carved pumpkins that decorate the elaborately prepared riverside landscape. The experience is made complete with live acrobatics and a completely original musical score. But be warned! The scariest thing about this Halloween institution is how fast the tickets sell out! Last year every night saw tickets sell out completely, so act fast! Tickets are available by phone or online.

Horseman’s Hollow At Philipsburg Manor

Returning for a fifth year, Horseman’s Hollow takes the legend of the Headless Horseman to its darkest extremes. This year the event has been expanded to 13 nights due to popular demand. Philipsburg Manor is transformed into a terrifying landscape ruled by the undead, the evil, and the insane. Visitors begin walking a haunted trail, stumbling upon scary scenes of a town driven mad by the Headless Horseman. The Hollow’s unfortunate inhabitants are all too ready to keep visitors from ever leaving. Creatures, human and otherwise, lurk in the shadows, ready to terrify the unsuspecting while incredible special effects disorient and unsettle. Elaborate costumes and the work of award-wining feature-film makeup artists make it all too real. Tickets are available by phone or online.
