Phelps Memorial Hospital Center Appoints New VP of Support Services
Glen Taylor has been appointed as Vice President of Support Services at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center. Taylor will be responsible for overseeing facility services, food and nutrition services, information technology, pharmacy services, and telecommunications at the hospital. Taylor’s background includes working as the Administrative Director of Pharmacy Services at Greenwich Hospital for 12 years, serving as the Director of Pharmacy Services at Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, and serving as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services at Mount Sinai Medical Center (now Mount Sinai Hospital) in New York City. As a registered pharmacist in New York and Connecticut, Taylor is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He attended St. John’s University for his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and Quinnipiac University for his Master of Science degree in organizational leadership.
Former Ossining Planning Director Joins White Plains Engineering Firm
Ossining resident Valerie Monastra has joined White Plains-based engineering firm Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. as senior project manager. Monastra previously was the planning director for the Village of Ossining for 10 years, where her responsibilities included housing and community development, zoning, and planning. Her efforts in Ossining awarded the village the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation’s Planning Achievement Award in 2010. In addition to being the new senior project manager, Monastra holds the director-at-large position for the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, and she is a member of the American Planning Association and American Institute of Certified Planners. She attended and received master’s degrees in urban and environmental policy and planning from Tufts University and geochemistry from Cornell University.
New Partner at Co-Communications
Jessica Lyon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Co-Communications, has been promoted to partner at the Mount Kisco-based public relations and marketing firm. Lyon has been with the company for more than 10 years, and opened the Connecticut branch in 2006. CEO of Co-Communications Stacey Cohen said Lyon “has brought the agency to another level by spearheading the advancement of our digital services. Her strategic and creative thinking are unmatched.” Lyon said she is looking forward to helping the company continue to grow.

New Staff at Greenburgh Nature Center
The Greenburgh Nature Center, a leader in environmental education in Westchester County, has named Michelle Brier as Director of Strategic Development and Rachel Becker as Sustainability Coordinator and Educator. Brier’s responsibilities include expanding marketing and development for the organization’s mission, including creating relationships to increase involvement and revenue for the organization. Brier was previously the Director of Marketing and Communications at Guiding Eyes and Manager of Fundraising for the Foundation of the Blind in New Zealand. Becker’s responsibilities include focusing on the community and its eco-friendly infrastructure through parties, events, and programs. Under this focus she will also aim to educate Westchester residents about the best practices to keep the county green. Becker was previously a Farm Educator at The Queens County Farm Museum and a Compost Coordinator at GrowNYC.
New VPs for Lending at Community Capital New York
Community Capital New York has hired Julieta Parra McPherson and Carlos Hernandez as the new vice presidents for lending. McPherson and Hernandez’s responsibilities include helping small businesses, nonprofits, and social enterprises with loans and creating a strong portfolio. In addition, the two will coach and support borrowers with a one-on-one bilingual relationship. McPherson will be responsible for work in Westchester County, and she previously worked as a business training coordinator for the Latino Economic Development Center in Minneapolis. Currently, she creates an entrepreneurial training program series for the Women’s Enterprise Development Center, the Child Care Council of Westchester, and the White Plains Library. Hernandez will be responsible for work in Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan counties. He previously worked as an investment counselor at David Lerner Associates in White Plains and also worked as the chief financial officer for The Vidal Partnership in Manhattan and CTM Media in Stamford.
KG&D Architects Promotes Staff Member to Associate
Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson, PC, (KG&D) a Mount Kisco architectural firm, has promoted employee Kenneth N. Baviello to Associate of the firm. His responsibilities at the firm now include being able to practice architecture in the State of New York. Baviello started at the company in 2006 as an intern, and worked his way up to his position now. Previously, Baviello served as the Associate Director of the AIA Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter for three years. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree.
O’Connor Davies LLP to Expand to Harrison
O’Connor Davies LLP, located in New York City, has expanded its accounting and advisory firm to Harrison. The lease will last until at least 2026, and the new space will be located at 500 Mamaroneck Avenue.
Citrin Cooperman to Expand to D.C.
Citrin Cooperman, an accounting firm located in Norwalk and White Plains, will add another office in the Washington D.C. region. This will be the seventh office for Citrin Cooperman, which also has locations in Philadelphia; Livingston, New Jersey; and Plainview, New York. This move will add more employees, partners, and is expected to increase the company’s revenue. In addition, the staff of Regardie, Brooks & Lewis—a Bethesda, Maryland-located accounting firm—have joined Citrin Cooperman as well.
