​Carmelo Milio, CPM, Named President of the Building and Realty InstituteNew York real estate investor and building industry leader Carmelo Milio, CPM, president of Trion Real Estate Management, has been named 2016 president of the Building and Realty Institute (BI-BRI). Milio celebrated the 35th anniversary last year of Trion Real Estate, a tri-state area full-service property management headquartered in Yonkers. “It is an honor for me to serve as the president of the BI-BRI in 2016. I am especially pleased to help lead our organization at this significant moment in BI-BRI’s history—our commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the formation of our association,” Milio says. As 2016 president, Milio aims to apply cutting-edge marketing techniques to propel the BRI brand to the next level, with the dual goals of expanding the association’s membership and shining a spotlight on its numerous projects, accomplishments and history as one the largest construction, development and real estate-related industry trade associations in New York State.
New Medical Director at Phelps Memorial Hospital CenterDr. Tobe Banc was recently promoted to the position of vice president and medical director at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow. Dr. Banc will oversee all clinical activities and patient care policies. She previously served as the medical director at Kendal on Hudson and joined the Phelps team in 2007 as director of the Senior Health and Internal Medicine practice of Phelps Medical Associates. Dr. Banc graduated from New York University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut. She then went on to complete a two-year fellowship in geriatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she became an attending physician.
Robert Gabalski Joins Lothrop Associates LLPArchitect Robert Gabalski recently joined the staff of Lothrop Associates LLP in White Plains. Gabalski has a rich history and knowledge of working with New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. In addition, Robert also has experience with sustainable design, the Environmental Protection Fund and the Clean Air/Water Bond Act, bringing Lothrop Associates LLP’s green initiatives to new levels. Robert holds a Master of Architecture from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and Planning from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital Names New COO and Chief Nursing OfficerNewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital recently welcomed Stacey Petrower as their new Chief Operating Officer. Petrower will oversee overall operations at the hospital’s Cortlandt Manor campus and satellite locations in Croton and Cold Spring. She previously worked as vice president for operations at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in Manhattan. Petrower earned a bachelor’s degree in law and society at the State University of New York at Binghamton and a master’s degree in health care administration from Pace University. Bonnie Corbett recently joined the NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services. “We are delighted to welcome Bonnie to our senior leadership team and benefit from her outstanding record in healthcare and patient engagement,” said John C. Federspiel, President of NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital, which became a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Regional Hospital Network in January 2014. Corbett previously worked at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital on New York City for none years, most recently as Director of Nursing of the Pediatric Emergency Department.

New Senior Director of Projects and Chief of Staff at Mount Kisco Medical GroupDonna Montalto will now serve as senior director of projects and chief of staff at Mount Kisco Medical Group. The new chief of staff will focus on strategic planning, corporate communications, analytics, provider recruitment, and the coordination of key external relationships. Montalto previously spent 21 ears as the executive director of New York State District II of the American College and Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also served as its government and public policy leader for four years and holds a master’s degree in public policy from the State University of New York at Albany.
New Property Manager Join Houlihan-Parnes PropertiesDavid Lulgjuraj is a new property managers at Houlihan-Parnes Properties, a White Plains real estate firm. He manages a portfolio of retail, office, and residential properties as well as oversees construction projects. Lulgjuraj previously joined the company as an Asset Manager in 2015 and graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors Elects New PresidentHudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR) recently made Marcene Hedayati their new president. Hedayati will focus her efforts on using every means of modern communication to reach all of HGAR’s members, compel them to take advantage of the organization’s resources, and strive to develop strategies designed to protect and support members going forward. The new president previously won the Rookie of the Year Award as an agent for Houlihan/Lawrence in 2001, formed Legends Realty Group in 2006, and went on to win HGAR’s realtor of the year in 2013. She also graduated from Wellesley College.
New Program Officer at Westchester Community FoundationThe Westchester Community Foundation (WCF) recently appointed Tara Seeley as program officer. Seeley will be developing and implementing the overall grant- making strategy, goals, and activities in the areas of community development, environment, health and technical assistance. She previously worked on the grants team at Central Indiana Community Foundation from 2004 through 2013 before working with community leaders to identify workforce and economic development strategies at Plan 2020. Seeley has a bachelor’s degree from The University of the South and a J.D./M.Div. degree from Vanderbilt University.
New Breast Surgeon at White Plains HospitalWhite Plains Hospital recently welcomed Dr. Preya Ananthakrishnan as Director of Breast Surgery at the Hospital’s Cancer Program. Dr. Ananthakrishnan has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery and sees patients with both benign and malignant breast disease. She previously was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and an Attending Surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Lawrence Hospital. She was also the Fellowship Director of the Columbia University Breast Surgery Fellowship and authored numerous publications on breast cancer surgery.
New Vice President of Development at Dominican Sisters Family Health ServiceOssining-based Dominican Sisters Family Health Service, Inc. (DSFHS) recently promoted Marianne Bogannam to Vice President of Development. Bogannam will focus on fundraising events, developing relationships with new donors, and the creation and development of the agency’s marketing, advertising, and public relations strategy. She started at the organization in 2006 as a Development Coordinator, working on fundraising efforts and overseeing the Special Programs in Suffolk County before moving up to Development Manager in 2011 and then Director of Development in 2014. Bogannam received a Bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University.
