HealthTech ’14 To Spotlight Westchester’s Growing Health Tech Sector
To call attention to Westchester’s growing health tech sector, the Westchester County Association (WCA) and its economic development arm, The BLUEPRINT for Westchester, have organized HealthTech ’14: Fueling Innovation in Westchester. The two-day conference, held May 7 – 8 at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in Tarrytown, features leading innovators in biotech, medtech, and health tech, and is attracting entrepreneurs, investment bankers, venture capitalists, technologists, and others. Day One is geared toward entrepreneurs, with the “Entrepreneurs’ Edge, ” panel discussion with national experts in startup law, banking, crowdfunding, and venture capital; followed by “Pitch to the Pros,” an opportunity for companies to present their ideas to a panel of judges. The winner will receive a $10K cash grant and automatic acceptance into Westchester’s BLUEPRINT Accelerator Network. Day Two includes an in-depth look at “IBM Watson and the Future of Medicine” and a compelling keynote address by Steven Safyer, MD, the CEO of Montefiore Health System.
Yorktown Hosts Biz Dev Open House with Astorino
Business owners looking to contract with county government, gain access to low-cost financing, and cut employee training costs will be interested in the Yorktown Business Development Open House on Friday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yorktown Town Hall. 2nd Annual Westchester Digital Summit is Here
The Westchester Digital Summit, named by Forbes as one of the top 10 “Must-Attend Marketing Conferences For Leaders In 2014,” returns for a second year on May 15th. Healthcare Deal-Making In the Spotlight
