Prepare for (Business) Disaster
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is hosting a free workshop, “Disaster Preparedness & Recovery Services” on Friday, September 12 from 9 am-12:30 pm at Con Edison’s Rye offices. Participants will learn how to 
prepare their company’s infrastructure so they can conduct business during a disaster and register with different government agencies that will help during or after a disaster.

The Westchester County Association’s (WCA) Young Professional Group hosts its next quarterly networking reception on Tuesday, September 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at 42 The Restaurant in White Plains. Make Connections For Success
The first annual “Connections For Success” forum for small business and job seekers, put on by the office of Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, takes place on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, from 8:30 am to 3 pm at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. Attendees will learn how to get new customers, secure a business loan, win a lucrative government contract or get a good-paying job with one of Westchester’s top organizations. The luncheon keynote speaker will be Lowell Hawthorne, a Jamaican immigrant who is founder and CEO of Golden Krust Corporation, which runs 125 restaurants that generate over $100 million in annual sales.
