Seeking to understand more about how to maximize your use of LinkedIn? Attend the July 16th event, “LinkedIn for Business Success—Getting More Details,” hosted by Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino and sponsored by the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) of Westchester. This free workshop will provide hands-on knowledge on some of the top benefits of the business-oriented social media website. Get Your Company Running (Literally)
On July 17, Pepsi, Morgan Stanley, and other companies of all sizes are participating in the Corporate FunRun Westchester 5k. You and your company can too. The 5k is billed as “the summer’s best office party” and promotes workplace fitness and team camaraderie through its 5k run/walk event. Post-race, there’s a party featuring food, beverages, music, dancing, and awards. It’s easy to join: Create a team here with co-workers or join your company team here ($40 per team member), and then appear on race day—July 17 at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center.
Summer Networking Event
The Westchester County Association’s annual summer networking event, Connecting Westchester Reception, takes place this year on July 17 from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown. Expect some 300 members of the business community coming together for a fun informal gathering, with food from

All Aboard for Networking
If swapping business cards while boating is your thing, come to the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront on July 31 for the Business Council of Westchester’s annual Cruise & Schmooze event. Attendees will board the Hornblower Hybrid, a hydrogen, solar and wind powered yacht for a tour with views of New York City. Dozens of different companies and business leaders from around the county will be on hand for networking. Price for members is $110 ($125 for non-members) and includes appetizers, dinner, and desert.
