Customer Relations & Sales Workshop for Immigrant Business Owners
Are you a business owner who came to the US from another country? This workshop will help you attract new customers by learning more about American-style customs and expectations. Whether you have been running your business for years or are just launching a new company, you will get practical information and advice—simple things you can do to increase your sales.
Speakers include Herman Nyamunga, immigrant entrepreneur and small business advisor, and Amanda Bergson-Shilcock of The Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians.

Get Your Company Running (Literally)
On July 17, Pepsi, Morgan Stanley, and other companies of all sizes are participating in the Corporate FunRun Westchester 5k. You and your company can too. The 5k is billed as “the summer’s best office party” and promotes workplace fitness and team camaraderie through its 5k run/walk event. Post-race, there’s a party featuring food, beverages, music, dancing, and awards. It’s easy to join: Create a team here with co-workers or join your company team here ($40 per team member), and then appear on race day—July 17 at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center.
Summer Networking Event
The Westchester County Association’s annual summer networking event, Connecting Westchester Reception, takes place this year on July 17 from 5:30pm – 8:00pm at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown. Expect some 300 members of the business community coming together for a fun informal gathering, with food from
