Learn to Plan Profitable Charity Events

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Fairfield/Westchester Chapter will host its Charity Can Be Profitable event on March 25 from 12 pm at the Rye Grill and Bar in Rye. Local charities are a big economic contributor to Fairfield and Westchester county finances. Westchester’s private, non-profit organizations employed 53,987 paid workers as of the first quarter of 2013. This translates to 13.6 percent of the country’s total workforce, putting Westchester County’s total workforce well above the national average of 8.4 percent. A team of experts in non-profit public relations and marketing will discuss examples of success that can be utilized immediately. Panelists include: Mike Dardano of BuzzPotential, PR expert Hillary Millman, development specialist Dana E.A Lawless, marketing expert Jill Singer, graphic designer Mary Ferrara, and event planner Marissa Coratti.
