Looking to bone up on small business social media strategies? SCORE NY Metro Area is hosting a five-week series of webinars on social media strategy for small business with Technology Therapy Group in White Plains. The webinars will address best practices for Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter. Programs include “Introduction to Instagram” on February 10 at 8 pm, and “Introduction to Using Twitter for Business” on February 17 at 8 pm. First Steps to Entrepreneurship
For those interested in taking the plunge into entrepreneurship, The Women’s Enterprise Development Center’s (WEDC) is offering a “First Steps Program in Mount Vernon.” These workshops will be held on February 10 and February 11 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Mount Vernon Library. Attendees will be shown how to: properly construct a dynamic business plan; study all financial considerations; design operational procedures; and, search for funding.

Using YouTube correctly for business can be tricky. Get some pointers by attending the upcoming “How to Use YouTube to Grow Your Business” workshop sponsored by the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) of Westchester. The event takes place at the Greenburgh Library in Elmsford on February 11, from 6 to 8 pm.
This free workshop will explain the benefits of video, how video can improve your search engine optimization, and how to use YouTube as a business tool, among other things.
