As we reported earlier in the month, television shows filmed in Westchester grabbed 29 Emmy nominations, but now that the dust has settled, how well did they do? Turns out, not too shabby. Julianna Margulies (a native of Spring Valley, NY) took home the coveted Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her starring role on CBS’s The Good Wife, and Uzo Aduba took the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her appearances in Orange Is The New Black from Netflix.
Westchester’s batch of Emmy nominees and winners comes as it is experiencing a film and television boom, which is bringing jobs, revenue, and now critical acclaim to the county.
