These Sound Shore wedding venues prove fall foliage isn’t the only picturesque wedding backdrop Westchester County has to offer.
Here in the Hudson Valley, we tend to talk up our namesake river on a regular basis. Still, when it comes to gorgeous views and en plein air wedding venues, we’re just as happy to pull up our Instagram and flip through dozens of saved shots from Westchester’s other scenic water vista, the Sound Shore. Below, here are a few of our favorites.
*Please check with local venues for the latest COVID-19 protocols, policies, and details.*
Coveleigh Club
459 Stuyvesant Ave, Rye
Aside from the gorgeous sound views, flexibility is the name of the game at this Georgian clubhouse. The West Porch is perfect for intimate gatherings, comfortably seating between 25 and 75 guests, while the ballroom can entertain up to 200. Both are adjoined by a bucolic lawn that is absolutely ideal for outdoor ceremonies, first looks, party portraits, or even engagement shoots. Other choice locations include the welcome arch and nearby gatehouse.
Key Features:
Dedicated in-house catering and event staff, including house chef
Glen Island Harbor Club
50 Glen Island Park, New Rochelle
This event venue is a place to build long-lasting memories, given its rich history. The club is located on Glen Island, which was originally built in 1879 as a summer resort for a businesses executive and became a successful casino during the 1930s Big Band Era. Picturesque locations include historical arches and towers made of stone. Views continue inside the club’s circular chapel and ballrooms, surrounded by windows with panoramas of the sea.

Hampshire Country Club
1025 Cove Rd, Mamaroneck

The patio can serve as the location for ceremonies, and the liveliness of these outdoor views can continue inside when guests are greeted with floral arrangements on every table in the 35,000-square-foot clubhouse.
Key Features:
Bridal suite and groomsman room for getting ready, sit-down and buffet options available
Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club
555 S Barry Ave, Mamaroneck
Purchased by Architectura in 2018 — and completely revamped — this Mamaroneck club works primarily with members but is open to the public as well for a small fee. The main dining room can accommodate up to 350 guests and, with outdoor space overlooking the sound available by the season, everything from an intimate event to the wedding of the year is in the cards.

Manursing Island Club
1 S Manursing Island, Rye
This wedding venue, which doesn’t do ceremonies between Memorial Day and Labor Day, has deep roots as a place for family and friends to come together. Two rooms with waterfront views allot for a transition from the cocktail hour into the reception, and the beach is available for photos.

Grandeur is a point of pride for this seaside mansion, which is open to non-members for weddings. To add some personalization to the scene, a Garde Manger is on-hand for ice or fruit carving, as well as a pastry chef who can design a cake in the venue’s bakery, accompanied by homemade gelato.

VIP Country Club
600 Davenport Ave, New Rochelle
Pictures at a 120-year-old estate overlooking the water won’t be the only standout feature of your wedding at this venue. The country club, open to non-members for weddings, creates a restaurant-style dining experience. Stations during cocktail hours are customizable, so guests can choose what they want chefs to add in at each. South Asian, Indian, and Pakistani weddings are a specialty here, and chefs are prepared to make special ethnic cuisines, including halal meats, while adhering to dietary requests.
A fusion-style menu is also available at this wedding venue (along with the option of having the event entirely catered), which means the club’s chefs will work alongside a caterer to ensure there are options for everyone.
