According to Westchester News 12, Reich has pleaded not guilty.

As alleged, Reich entered the bathroom and ambushed his wife while she was showering and repeatedly stabbed her to death on January 20, between 8 am and 10:10 am, Acting District Attorney McCarty said.

Goldman died at the scene after she was stabbed 22 times with an 8-inch kitchen knife. She suffered wounds to her lung, heart, diaphragm, liver and kidney.

Scarsdale police officers arrived on scene that same day after and placed Reich under arrest after he called 911.

Reich faces an indeterminate term of imprisonment, which is a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison, and will next appear in court on April 5, 2016.

A 58-year-old Scarsdale doctor was stabbed to death inside her multi-million dollar home Wednesday, and her husband, an attorney for a Manhattan consulting firm, has been charged, according to multiple reports.

Dr. Robin Goldman, a pediatrician affiliated with the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, was found dead by police after they received a 911 call from 50 Lincoln Road in Scarsdale a little after 10 am Wednesday. The call reported a woman had been seriously injured, according to The Journal News. Her husband, 61-year-old Julius “Jules” Reich, has been charged with second-degree murder. Scarsdale police said Thursday that Reich made the 911 call.

“We are confident that this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat posed to the community,” Scarsdale Police Captain Thomas Altizio said.

Reich is being held without bail at the Westchester County Jail, according to the New York Daily News. The Journal News reports that Reich was treated at White Plains Hospital following the incident for injuries to his hand.

Reich had petitioned for divorce in August 2015, but the matter remains pending. Altizio said dating back to 1994, there was no record of past domestic violence calls at the home.

Reich is a Financial Advisory Services Lead Partner at WeiserMazars LLP in Manhattan. He has been there since 2014.

Goldman was also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Property records indicate the 6,400 square foot home at 50 Lincoln is assessed at $2.7 million.

It was the first homicide in the village in nearly four decades. The last was in 1977, when 23-year-old Richard Herrin murdered his 20-year-old girlfriend, Bonnie Garland. The infamous “Scarsdale Diet Murder,” in 1980 actually occurred in Purchase.
