Scarsdale resident Stephen C. Seward has accepted the newly-created position of Vice-President for Institutional Advancement at the Yonkers Andrus Children’s Center (www.andruschildren.org). Seward, an Amherst College and SUNY Buffalo (M.L.S.) alum, has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the field of philanthropy, will look to expand Andrus’ development efforts which support the Center’s premiere work with more than 2500 children and families at 11 sites around Westchester County.
Ernest J. Lungaro, a former and decorated lieutenant with the New York City Police Department, has been named Director of the Humane Law Enforcement Division of the SPCA of Westchester. Lungaro, who has more than 20 years of experience in criminal investigations, will be responsible for carrying out the SPCA of Westchester’s mission to protect the animals in Westchester County from cruelty and neglect through the enforcement of New York State law. The SPCA is the only agency in the county mandated by the state to enforce animal cruelty laws.
Marsha Gordon, President and CEO of The Business Council of Westchester, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of The Committee to Save New York (CSNY). The committee’s mission is to engage the public on the importance of fixing the New York state economic and Albany’s broken finances, through its website.

The Neuberger Museum of Art “Tania Bruguera: On the Political Imaginery” exhibition, curated by the museum’s Chief Curator Helaine Posner, has won second place nationally as the 2010 “Best Show in a University Gallery.” Given its award by the U.S. section of the International Association of Art Critics/AICA-USA, the exhibition featured Cuban artist Bruguera’s powerful, innovative installations and performance works created for various international venues over the past 15years.
