Sweatpants, hair-tied, chillen’ with no makeup on? And there’s no food in the fridge, either?
Fret not, my friend. If you find yourself in this situation you can now summon UberEATS, a new on-demand food delivery app run by Uber car service, to satisfy your appetite.
While Uber’s traditional ride-hailing service has yet to reach full legality within most of the state outside of New York City, UberEATS is an entirely separate entity that allows you to browse local restaurants, order, and track delivery process as it makes its way to your home.
UberEATS has partnered with more than 60 restaurants spanning parts of Westchester and Nassau Counties, including Walter’s Hot Dogs, Polpettina, Bareburger, Harrison Tavern, and Roc N Ramen.
Prices found on the menu match those found in the restaurants, although UberEATS charges a flat delivery fee of $4.99 on all orders. And as with Uber surges, there may be additional fees tacked on during busy hours and holidays.
So whether you’re stuck at home on a snowy day or looking to cater your next office party, UberEATS will deliver.
