On February 20, Carvana, an e-commerce platform for buying and selling used cars, began offering its services for Westchester County consumers. The draw? Westchesterites can now purchase a car online and have it delivered as quickly as the next day. (The company’s February expansion also included four other locations: Norwich, CT; Atlantic City and Trenton, NJ; and Barnstable, Mass.) Since this launch, Carvana has expanded to a total of 118 markets.

Using Carvana.com, customers can choose, finance, purchase a new vehicle, or sell their current one in 10 minutes with as-soon-as-next-day delivery. Users can shop more than 15,000 vehicles on Carvana’s website, which includes 360-degree photographs and high-definition virtual tours. Each description includes features, imperfections, and updated information on open safety recalls. Every vehicle is Carvana Certified, going through a 150-point inspection, meaning that it has no frame damage and never been in a reported accident. Carvana offers a 100-day or 4,189 miles limited warranty and a seven-day test drive and money-back return policy.
If customers choose to pick up their car from one of its vending machines, Carvana will subsidize $200 of the one-way airfare and provide transportation to the vending machine location. These locations include Philadelphia and Bridgeville, PA; Warrensville Heights, OH; Gaithersburg, MD and 16 other cities.
Carvana provides two types of coverage for its cars: GapCover and CarvanaCare. If your vehicle is totaled or stolen, Gap Coverage will cover what is still owed on the vehicle. CarvanaCare protects your vehicle by extending its original warranty and covering costs if something breaks down. Depending on the extent of repairs, customers will pay a $50 deductible at most.
