Imaginations are sparked through unstructured play at The Treehouse Play Place in Larchmont, the newest addition for Rob and Christina Rubicco, owners of Anna & Jack’s Treehouse daycare/preschool centers. The airy space on 7-11 North Avenue is an ideal spot for children age six months to 12 years old to spend some time in the land of make-believe.
“Here, kids can explore, socialize, and learn through imaginative play in a developmentally supportive environment,” says Rob. “You can pretend to work in an ice cream store, you can pretend to make pizza, to be a cop, fireman, mailman, veterinarian, or hairstylist; you can put a show on in the theater.”
The space also hosts birthday parties and other events in a party room with a private kitchen. “There is an upstairs playground on the roof as well; there is nothing like this on the East Coast of this magnitude,” adds Rob. “You have to see it to believe it.”
