At The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Robert Rioseco is specially trained in the art and science of full mouth rehabilitation. Full mouth reconstruction is called for when the patient has a seemingly unrestorable combination of dental disorders often caused by extreme wear combined with the ravages of acid erosion. Acid erosion can start with excessive tooth grinding, which when combined with acid reflux, can result in extreme destruction of the teeth. Dr. Rioseco now performs these reconstructions in far fewer visits and usually only with digital techniques, eliminating the need for multiple rubber moulds and extended appointments. Patients can even see digital renderings of their new smile on computer screens and wear a digital “trial smile,” all before performing the rehabilitation. Many full mouth rehabilitations are also performed to reposition the jaw in the wake of tooth destruction, restoring a more youthful look to the face and restoring the airway to prevent snoring and sleep apnea.
