The Golden Shoestring

For over 60 years, The Golden Shoestring has been operating in downtown Larchmont by the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound. The nonprofit thrift store won a 2024 Best of Westchester award and sells items like blazers, dress shoes, and vases. Proceeds from sales go directly to the community through funding of scholarships for local students and grants to community partners. The store holds a special Thrift Thursdays event, usually on the first Thursday of every month, during which shoppers can enjoy refreshments while shopping, enter raffles, and connect with others in the community.
