PepsiCo, IBM, and March of Dimes Foundation all landed a spot on Working Mother’s 2014 “100 Best Companies” list. According to Working Mother’s website, the 100 Best Companies provide female-exec-friendly policies like varying lengths of fully paid maternity leave on top of child care support, flexible schedules, telecommuting, and career-advancement programs. There is a 450-point evaluation method to determine who’s going to make the list, surveying factors like leave policies, workforce representation, benefits, childcare, advancement, flexibility, and more. For good measure, the list also seeks to gauge companies’ availably, usage, and tracking of the programs, and the accountability of the managers who oversee them.
