Women’s Leadership Luncheon
United Way of Westchester and Putnam will host its second annual Women’s Leadership Council luncheon on March 11 from noon to 2 pm at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor. Area women are invited to attend and learn about the real challenges women can experience in our local communities and network with other women of influence. Stephanie Ruhle, the anchor and managing editor for Bloomberg Television and co-host of Market Makers, will be the event’s special keynote speaker. Dee DelBello, CEO and owner of Westfair Communications, Inc., and Mary Murray, the manager of corporate citizenship and corporate affairs at IBM, will be honored as the Women’s Leadership Council’s “Women of Distinction.” The event will be emceed by Lisa Salvadorini, News 12 Westchester anchor and managing editor.

The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) of Westchester is hosting a “How to Earn More Business With Telephone Prospecting” workshop on March 11 from 1 to 3 pm at SCORE headquarters in White Plains. This free workshop will explain how to: identify and get to the top decision maker in most companies; make an impact on your first phone conversation with decision makers; turn a secretary into an ally and resource in getting to the main decision maker; and, get all the information you need to help prepare for your first face-to-face meeting so you can seal the deal during your first meeting with the decision makers.

Arianna Huffington Comes to Westchester
Author, politico, and blogger extraordinaire Arianna Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post Media Group, will appear on March 25 as part of Manhattanville College’s Castle Conversations series, a 2015 speaker series presented by MasterCard. Huffington kicks off the series with her unique take on the evolving media landscape. The event takes place at 7 pm in the O’Byrne Chapel on the Manhattanville campus in Purchase.
