If you’re part of the under-30 set (or you want to be in the mix with them), the 914INC Westchester Wunderkinds event is a must-attend. Join the crowd of young entrepreneurs, business owners, and ladder-climbing corporate stars to salute the 2014 class of Wunderkinds—21 of Westchester’s brightest business minds under the age of 30. The event takes place on May 20 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Captain Lawrence Brewery in Elmsford.

Meet and Greet in Minutes at Speed Networking Event
Looking to meet new business partners or prospects in the Hudson Valley area? Try the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce’s (HVGCC) Speed Networking Business After Hours event, held at Tenampa Restaurant in Croton-on-Hudson on May 21. Speed networking is a type of business networking activity where you make initial contact with as many people as possible in a short space of time in a structured atmosphere. After the speed event is conducted, you will then have the opportunity to network with the people that you did not get to meet. The event is complimentary for all HVGCC members; $20 for non-members.

Small Business Capital Panel Discussion
Looking for capital for your small business? Manhattanville College School of Graduate and Professional Studies is hosting a free panel discussion for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and those who plan on starting their own business. At the panel, called “Show Me the Money: Accessing Small Business Capital,” participants will also have the opportunity to meet representatives from M&T Bank, the Small Business Administration, and NYS Small Business Development Center. A light breakfast will be served, and a networking session will follow the panel discussion. Thursday, May 29, 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Reid Castle at Manhattanville College, Purchase.

New Leadership Conversation Series Debuts
A new business series featuring insightful interviews with some of our region’s most prominent and important business leaders kicks off on June 2. Developed by The Business Council of Westchester in cooperation with First Niagara Bank, the first program of the series features Leonard S. Schleifer, M.D., Ph.D., founder, president and CEO of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown.

Manhattanville College Offers Professional Development Workshops
This June, Manhattanville College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) will host a series of on-campus professional development workshops, focusing on women’s leadership (June 3), Myers-Briggs personality type indication (June 10), and resilient leadership (June 18). The Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness Professional Development Workshop Series is the fourth event in celebration of GPS’ 20th anniversary. The June 3 and June 10 workshops will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both workshops, which include lunch, are $375 per person. The June 18 workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.$575, which also includes lunch.
