Auburn Jewelry is truly a Westchester company. Founder Samantha Levine started learning how to design jewelry during her time at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua before striking out with Auburn Jewelry in May 2013. Now sold at local favorites LOLA NY in White Plains, Beginnings in Scarsdale, and ICD Jewelry in Chappaqua, as well as in pop-ups at J. Crew and Vineyard Vines, the fast-expanding company is set to release a new line of their popular jewelry.
This new line of vibrant pieces changing on a seasonal basis will be the first to be made through the company’s own production system rather than strictly handmade. This new production line consists of many of Levine’s most popular pieces including her star, anchor, and mini initial designs in order to meet the high demand of her customers. The line will be branded as Auburn Jewelry, while her original handmade pieces will now be known as One and Only by Auburn Jewelry.
While Levine has previously focused on colorful abstract pieces, her new line emphasizes more recognizable shapes including initials as well as newer “lucky charm” pieces like a wishbone and clover design. As for why Westchester makes a good place to sell Auburn Jewelry, Levine says, “I couldn’t imagine running a business anywhere else. Chappaqua and Westchester are a big part of my identity and the brand’s identity.” Levine works on her handmade pieces at home in her studio in Chappaqua.
In addition to the new production line, Levine will be conducting several social media giveaways and pop-ups in order to make it easier for locals to get their Auburn Jewelry fix. “They are a phenomenal way to sell Auburn Jewelry,” says Levine of the pop-up format. “It is really fun to work with customers and help them pick out the perfect pieces.” Look out for Levine’s new round of production designs coming out in the next month.
