Having worked in public relations and luxury marketing for more than 25 years, Lisa Lori always dreamed of owning a store to showcase all of her loves: fashion, food, art, and accessories from around the world. In 2016, the Greenwich resident opened The Perfect Provenance (47 Arch St, Greenwich), a high-end lifestyle store that stocks men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, home products, and gifts.
The luxurious shop is housed in a stunningly restored 1912 Victorian home; the space is impeccably designed, and the selection is well-curated. Despite the shop’s overt opulence, shoppers can find items in all price ranges — from cocktail napkins for $5 to $2,000 handbags. Although the price range is wide, all products are high-quality, and beautifully unique. “We pride ourselves on the quality of our merchandise, some of which is hand-crafted and manufactured by family-owned designers…We try to source as many unique designers as possible,” says Lori. Stocked designers include Elena Ghisellini, Vanessa Bruno, Perrin Paris, and Pho Firenze.

After shopping the stylish inventory, if you feel peckish, stop by the shop’s quaint restaurant, Café 47, open seven days a week for lunch and special events. With Chef Duane Shand at the helm, the eatery serves French and American continental dishes, sourcing ingredients from the local area. The Perfect Provenance often hosts special events, which include chef tasting dinners, cooking classes, art events, and more. Lori explains, “The restaurant is vital to the success of the business because it invites dialogue. Having the café in a home gives it a warmth and friendliness that we think puts people at ease and encourages them to walk around, explore, and discover.
“The store and café are everything I love about life — traveling, food, art. Owning the store is about building community and having a connection to our town and the clients,” she adds.
