While working as a professional makeup artist on photo shoots for major publications, Susan Giordano developed her own handcrafted beauty products. Bringing these products on set, she noticed models and fashion influencers were drawn to them, and she’d leave the shoot empty-handed. Inspiration for a brick-and-mortar store came by happenstance when she saw a “for rent” sign next to a bike shop she was visiting in Hastings-on-Hudson; Giordano decided right there, she needed to open up her own shop.
Giordano Beauty has now been in business for six years and sells a variety of items ranging from bath soap starting at $8, up to splurges like the $50 La Magie Totale, a fabulous night cream made by a local chemist. Everything in the store has been designed and developed by Giordano herself and includes makeup, skincare, bath and body, and fragrance.
