These Westchester High Schools Take Top Spots in U.S. News Rankings

Fresh for 2019, U.S. News just released their annual list of the best schools in the nation, and one Westchester alma mater in particular is making waves.

Moving up nine spots from last year’s rankings, Bronxville High School now rates 11^th of all New York State schools — the highest of any outside the five boroughs — and was the only Westchester institution to break the national Top 100 Schools at #99. (Math nerds: 99 out of the 23,265 schools surveyed yields … the top 99.6^th percentile!)

Bronxville leapfrogged Edgemont Junior-Senior High School in Greenburgh, which maintained it’s #14 spot in New York from last year (but fell to #112 nationally).

All told, twenty-six Westchester high schools were among the state’s Top 100 (out of nearly 1,300 total). They include:

Rye High School — 18^th in the state and 139^th nationally
Byram Hills High School (Armonk) — 20^th in the state and 144^th nationally
Blind Brook High School (Rye Brook) — 21^st in the state and 145^th nationally
Horace Greeley High School (Chappaqua) — 24^th in the state and 187^th nationally
Dobbs Ferry High School — 30^th in the state and 256^th nationally
North Salem High School — 32^nd in the state and 300^th nationally
Ardsley High School — 33^rd in the state and 318^th nationally
Croton-Harmon High School — 35^th in the state and 322^nd nationally
Harrison High School — 37^th in the state and 345^th nationally
Briarcliff High School — 39^th in the state and 366^th nationally
Hastings High School — 42^nd in the state and 396^th nationally
Yonkers High School — 47^th in the state and 496^th nationally
Irvington High School — 51^st in the state and 529^th nationally
Scarsdale Senior High School — 56^th in the state and 596^th nationally
Mamaroneck High School — 58^th in the state and 625^th nationally
Yorktown High School — 59^th in the state and 635^th nationally
Rye Neck Senior High School (Mamaroneck) — 60^th in the state and 638^th nationally
Pelham Memorial Senior High School — 65^h in the state and 692^th nationally
Hendrick Hudson High School (Montrose) — 80^th in the state and 843^th nationally
Lakeland High School (Shrub Oak) — 83^rd in the state and 883^rd nationally
Sleepy Hollow High School — 91^st in the state and 988^th nationally
Fox Lane High School (Bedford) — 94^th in the state and 1,037^th nationally
