Intent on manufacturing their products in the US, Tidal New York founders (and brothers) Tommy and Tim Gibb produce flip-flops right here in their New Rochelle factory, using new technologies and patented and proprietary processes. Instead of the traditional method of gluing together layers of foam, the soles of Tidal New York’s flip-flops are made of blown polyurethane foam, which results in a sole with tread, arch support, and the bounciness found in running shoes. Another Gibb mission? Hiring veterans, who now comprise half of the company’s employees. They announce new styles every few weeks and are active on social media @tidalnewyork.
