Last week, Payscale.com released its 2014 “rate of return” rankings of American colleges and universities.
According to the report, Manhattan College in the Bronx ranked 15th in the nation. Only the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (ranked 8th nationally) ranked higher among colleges or universities from New York.
“It is gratifying to have this evidence, year after year, of the tangible value of a Manhattan College education,” said Manhattan College President Brennan O’Donnell in a press release Monday. “We pride ourselves on offering an academically excellent, values-grounded, and affordable education that provides a strong return on investment.”
Other top institutions in and around Westchester County included Iona College (ranked 87th nationally), Fordham University (189th), Pace University (194th), the State University of New York at Purchase (667th), and Mercy College (878th).
The College of New Rochelle (1273rd) didn’t fare so well, with a $-20,900 20-year net ROI.
