Chocolations
For those with a sweet tooth, Chocolations is a must-visit. Known for its decadent chocolate bark and smooth truffles, this sweetshop uses molds to fashion creations out of fresh chocolate made on-premises, using all-natural premium chocolate — think full-size footballs, teddy bears, race cars, and flowers. Also on the menu are cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and homemade hot chocolate.

Half Time
Westchester beer aficionados cheered when Half Time opened in Mamaroneck in 2013 and for good reason: The 20,000 sq. ft. space offers a huge selection of American and international craft brews. The store is organized by country of the brewer, so devotees of, say, large-format Belgian beers will not go home empty-handed, while those looking for Hudson Valley and other local brews can also stock up. Growlers, beer- and cider-of-the-month clubs, and gift baskets round out the offerings.

Miller’s Toys
This family-owned Mamaroneck landmark (open since 1948) is 15,000 square feet worth of toys, children’s clothing, shoes, and even a bike shop. Discerning kids, plus doting parents, can find European-made toys, superior game-room options (ping-pong anyone?), and even swing sets. Spouses Taka and Brooke Andrews go to “great pains to find the best products,” and that means “no mass-produced toys or products with screens,” notes Taka.
