Last night, a crowd of more than 2,500 people flocked to the Kensico Dam in Valhalla to participate in the seventh annual Beer and Burger Blast and vote for their favorite Westchester burger.
The winner of the Heineken Light Best Burger Award was Coals Pizza. They served a beef burger with smoked Gruyere, maple-rosemary sauce, and brown ale-cured duck bacon. Coals Pizza previously won the best burger award in 2015. Piper’s Kilt kept it simple by serving a cheeseburger with sautéed onions, winning them second place. Madison Kitchen placed third with their Sir Madison Burger Sliders: 30 day dry-aged blend, tickler cheddar cheese, bacon onion jam, MK sauce, on a pretzel bun.
