The Westchester Green Business Challenge is a four-year-old, annual competition among county businesses, helping them to move toward environmental sustainability and save money at the same time. Founding partners are Westchester County Government and The Business Council of Westchester, together with Green Team Spirit and Synergis.
Participants in this “friendly competition” strive to be acknowledged for their achievements in “greening” their operations. Registered companies and organizations complete a scorecard that outlines more than 80 activities one can take to make a business more green. Based on this input, organizations are linked to resources that can help improve performance in critical areas.
