The True Wireless Earbuds Audiophiles Are Drooling Over

In terms of sound quality, Sennheiser absolutely has produced the best-sounding true wireless earbuds around.

Wireless earbuds are on everybody’s wish list these days, and depending on where you walk around, you may see a pair of AirPods hanging from the occasional ear. But, if audio quality is a huge factor for you, looking into a company that specializes in crafting such products would be a smart move.

That’s where Sennheiser comes out to play. They weren’t particularly quick to jump on the wireless bandwagon, but for good reason. Releasing its Momentum True Wireless earbuds in late 2018, it’s clear the company took their time to create a quality experience. After testing them out, they were clearly well worth the wait.

Taking the Sennheiser True Momentum Wireless out of the box and starting the pairing process is fairly easy. Once you complete setup, you won’t have to mess with the settings again until you want to pair to another device.

The controls are straight forward as well. Hold your finger against the left earbud to lower volume, and hold it against the right bud to raise the volume. Tapping once, twice, or three times on the left earbud will pause or play music, skip to the next song, and return to a previous track, respectively. If you want to access a virtual assistant instead, all you have to do is tap the right earbud once.

The connection works very well, and you can walk away from your device with the headphones still in your ear and they will still work up to a notable distance. There is no lag between a video you will watch and what you hear.

In terms of sound quality, Sennheiser absolutely has produced the best-sounding true wireless earbuds around, with an absorbing experience that presents exactly what a song’s producer intended you to hear. The True Momentum earbuds exhibit an openness to the sound that rivals over-ear headphones. There’s depth and boldness with more power than on other earbuds on the market.

There is also a Transparent Hearing feature, which is great for quickly activating to talk to someone or hear an announcement.

There’s not many downsides, although they are always worth mentioning. On one hand, the battery life lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes on average, which is unfortunate for taking on long trips, but the handy charging case offers about 2 extra charges when it is fully charged itself. The price tag, at about $299, is a bit hefty, however the quality of sound definitely makes up for that if you are willing to spend it.

Overall, these headphones are a great buy with amazing sound quality. If you aren’t willing to sacrifice sound these Sennheiser earbuds deliver.
