Westfair Communications Inc. will be inviting successful real estate and finance individuals to discuss the future of residential and commercial real estate in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. This event will take place on April 30 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains NY. Guests will have the chance to listen to expert speakers cover topics such as predicting the market from a financial perspective, trends in both residential and commercial real estate, and how Westchester, Fairfield, and NYC will be impacted by disruptions in the NYC market.
Third Annual Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Summit
The Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Summit will have its third annual event at the New York State Judicial Institute at Pace University’s School of Law in White Plains. On May 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors will be able to attend panels where experts will discuss ways in which affordable housing can be achieved by means of real estate, health, finance, and services. Visitors will also have the opportunity to listen to keynote speakers: George Latimer, Westchester County Executive, and Marcus Molinaro, Dutchess County Executive.
Stamford’s #IRLCONN
The University of Connecticut Stamford Campus will host the second annual In Real Life Conference (#IRLCONN) on May 3. This year’s theme is “Amplify Your Life.” The conference will allow attendees to engage in conversation with business experts as well as fellow students, entrepreneurs, and business professionals to further share financial, self-development, tech, and business knowledge. In partnership with UCONN Stamford and Patriot Bank, the one-day conference connects all those in attendance through interactive communication and sharing of experience from business experts and professionals.
Breakfast with NYS Legislators
Fordham, Westchester in West Harrison, will host a breakfast on Friday, May 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. with the entire Westchester/Putnam delegation of the State Legislature to discuss the issues affecting the community and its businesses. All are encouraged to register and attend to voice concerns that they hope to be addressed.
Booming Better Expo
The Booming BETTER Expo will be held at Manhattanville’s Reid Castle in Purchase on May 5. The 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. event targets individuals of ages 55 and up with the intent of providing knowledge and networking to create better lives. The workshops are free to attend and all attendees are given the opportunity to learn about the Westchester resources and professionals who can assist them in managing their financial needs, health concerns, retirement plans, and other plans for the future.
3rd Annual Real Estate Summit
On May 14, The Westchester County Association will hold its 3rd Annual Real Estate Summit at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. The morning event will bring together more than 300 of the top leaders in commercial and residential real estate in the region as well as other notable individuals from throughout Westchester.
United Way and BCW Launch Partnership with Non-Profit Summit
In partnership with the Business Council of Westchester, the United Way of Westchester and Putnam will pursue its Non-for-Profit Leadership Summit on Monday, May 6. The theme of this year’s 17th annual event is “Building Community” as the summit embraces new additions in partnerships of academia, government and businesses. The event will be hosted by the Doubletree in Tarrytown between 8 am and 3 pm. Participants may attend breakout sessions addressing topics such as confronting the nonprofit racial leadership gap, exercising communication skills of this era, and learning how to promote their non-for-profit’s story through the use of PR, digital marketing and other forms of media. Keynote speakers Timothy L. Hall, President of Mercy College and Eric Klinenberg, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University will be featured.
ConXpo
On May 14, the Westchester County Office of Economic Development will hold conXpo. The half-day conference, taking place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, aims to connect and support Minority/Women-Owned Businesses, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. Event attendees can enjoy a networking period and will learn how to grow their organizations’ capitol and navigate New York State certification processes, among other useful information.
Open Door Power Lunch
Business guru Seth Godin will serve as keynote speaker at “Power Up,” the Open Door Foundation’s power lunch. Taking place May 9 from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Willow Ridge County Club in Harrison, the afternoon event will support the work of the Open Door Medical Centers in Westchester and Putnam counties. Rye Presbyterian Church and Rye Presbyterian Nursery School will be honored with the Community Partnership Award, while founding Manager of Volunteer Programs at Open Door, Alicia Ward, will receive the Changemaker Award.
