Kind of new to Westchester this year is the LPGA Amateur Golf Association, which was formerly known as the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA).
The group is dedicated to making golf more accessible and enjoyable for women and girls, according to Lisa Brady, president of the Westchester chapter, which has about 250 members. “We have a great schedule of social events and golf outings, league play for golfers of all levels including absolute beginners, and other year-round opportunities for women and girls to participate in golf.” Brady says membership in the group is an excellent way for newbies to learn more about the game in a supportive environment and for more advanced women golfers to play, compete, and socialize.
