Where else can you mingle with more than 1,500 Westchester businessmen and businesswomen on a Thursday afternoon, other than at the Business Council of Westchester’s annual Mega Mixer, Westchester’s largest tradeshow? The event was held at The Hilton Rye Town. Considering the 200 exhibitor booths, the live cooking demonstrations, and the discussion panels, there was seemingly something for just about everyone. The “Meet the Media” panel consisted of six local print, broadcast and online representatives (including our own Robert Schork, 914INC.’s executive editor). Stacey Cohen of Co-Communications moderated the panel. “When pitching to media,” she advised, “ask yourself, ‘Does it pass the who cares test?’” Ron Stytzer of Antun’s Catering, Joe Sasso’s of New York Hospitality Group, and Chef Stephanie Landis of Don Coqui all performed cooking demonstrations. Apparently, even busy businessmen and businesswomen want to know how to cook well.
