U.S. News & World Report released its 30th annual Best Colleges report on Tuesday, giving Westchester residents some insight to the quality of higher education in the county today.
The report ranked Bronxville’s Sarah Lawrence College as the 59th best college among the 178 ranked in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category. Although Sarah Lawrence ranked higher last year, its spot on the report this year still made it the highest-ranking college in Westchester County.
Other notable Westchester colleges that rank among the top 100 in their respective categories include Concordia College in Bronxvile and Iona College in New Rochelle, which ranked 31st and 74th respectively among the 135 ranked in the Regional Universities (North) category. The State University of New York at Purchase was ranked as the 10th best in the Top Public Schools, National Liberal Arts Colleges category.
Poughkeepsie’s Vassar College stood out as one of the highest-ranking liberal arts colleges in the state, clocking in at number 11 in the National Liberal Arts Category.
