Located in the heart of downtown White Plains, Addicted to Ink has been serving Westchester County for all its tattoo needs since 2007. The shop recently opened its expanded, luxurious studio after 15 years of operating out of its original location. The shop features 13 full-time custom artists who are ready to bring your tattoo idea to fruition. Plus, its waiting room is equipped with arcade games and snack and drink machines to keep you entertained and hydrated during the whole process.

Give it up for Westchester’s oldest tattoo parlor. For more than 50 years, this family-owned and -operated shop has been a mainstay for tattoos in the 914. Big Joe Kaplan opened the original shop just outside of Mount Vernon in 1969, less than a decade after the New York City tattoo ban of 1961. Three of the artists are second- and third-generation tattoo artists who have been tattooing for more than 20 years, specializing in American traditional, cover-ups, Japanese, and black-and-gray traditional styles. The shop even carries a full line of vegan tattoo inks, available upon request.

If you’re on the hunt for a fine line artist who puts his all into every piece, Marcel Bleu might be the tattoo artist for you. The Brazil-born talent established his private studio after dabbling in vibrant studios in the East Village and around New York City. Bleu discovered his passion for tattooing while he was traveling with the U.S. Navy after joining in 2000. Drawing from a range of influences – including traditional Japanese and traditional American tattooing – his pieces are not to be missed. His artistry and talent shine through his work.

Damn Nice Tattoo and Body Art

Just outside of White Plains, Damn Nice Tattoo and Body Art is a studio located in Scarsdale and was opened by New York City native D. Antonio Ramirez. He is a self-taught artist with 24 years of experience under his belt. Ramirez specializes in scar mask/scar cover-up tattoo applications. After studying the art on the streets and subways of NYC, in institutions like CUNY SA, and the Arts Students League of N.Y., Ramirez brought his talents to Westchester County.
