Lanterns aren’t just for candles anymore—they also make an attractive alternative to run-of-the-mill containers like vases for flowers. “A major trend in centerpieces is tablescapes that integrate decorative items with floral pieces,” says Sue Taub, co-owner of Holbrook Cottage in Briarcliff Manor. “We love a lantern filled with gorgeous blooms spilling out onto the table, surrounded by votive candles.
